It follows two robberies last week

Five teenage boys have been released from police custody as officers investigate two robbery reports.

Last week two boys, aged 12 and 15, both told police they had their phones stolen.

The younger of the two also had cash stolen on Rochester Bridge, where he was reportedly targeted at around 4.30pm on Friday, August 25.

The 15-year-old informed officers he was targeted whilst in Stone Street, Gravesend an hour later.

Police have made five arrests, a 14-year-old, 15-year-old and three 16-year-olds, on suspicion of robbery since the incidents were reported.

All five boys have been released under investigation.

Officers are now keen to talk to anyone who may have been driving from Rochester towards Strood and may have witnessed the first incident.

Anyone with information can call Kent Police on 01634 792209 quoting XY/43265/17.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
