Teenagers who fell off moped when pulled over by police are arrested over drug and theft offences

Two teenage boys are in police custody after falling off their moped driving away from police on Thursday night.

Police tried to pull the teenagers over after suspicious activity was reported in Eynsford Road at around 10.30pm.

According to Kent Police, the moped then tried to drive onto a grass embankment, where both the driver and passenger fell from the bike.

A spokesperson from Kent Police said: “A 16-year-old boy from Dartford and a 17-year-old boy from Maidstone were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, as well as possessing cannabis with intent to supply.”

“They remain in police custody.”
