The Easter Bunny dropped by to visit tenants at Walting Court this week, inspiring them to get creative.

With the Easter weekend only a few days away, tenants at retirement community in Ifield Way got into the spirit of spring and spent a morning decorating their very own Easter bonnets.

The dining room was transformed into a creative studio and all of the tenants gathered together, decorating their bonnest with little chicks, feathers, nests, mini eggs and ribbon.

They are now sitting proudly in the dining room and will be used over the Easter weekend for the parade, when the staff will host a competition to pick out the best bonnet.

Helen Goulding, housing officer at Watling Court said: “Easter bonnet making has become something of a tradition here at Watling Court and something the tenants really look forward to.”

“It is a lovely activity for them to enjoy together and really brings out their creative side.”
