Thames Barrier closes again to prevent flooding

The barrier - one of the largest movable flood barriers in the world - closed for four hours at 12.45pm on Tuesday to prevent flooding.

It has been closed a number of time over the past week.

At the time of writing there were 112 flood alerts in place with 17 warnings and two severe flood warnings.
