Three men charged over alleged robbery and sexual assault of two women in Dartford

A group of men have been charged in connection with the alleged robbery and sexual assault of two women in Dartford on Sunday morning.

Ionut Durice, 21, of no fixed address, was charged with receiving stolen goods and two counts of sexual assault. Florian Muresan, 27, of The Brent, in Dartford, was charged with the same offences - as well as assaulting a police constable.

Costica Ciapa, 24, of no fixed address, was charged with robbery and two counts of sexual assault.

The incident is reported to have taken place at around 2am in an alleyway near a supermarket in Priory Market Place.

It is thought two women were sexually assaulted and a mobile phone was stolen. The victims alerted nearby police officers and three men were arrested.

All three men appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on September 2 and have been remanded in custody until they appear at Maidstone Crown Court for an initial hearing on September 20.
