Traffic delayed heading into Essex last night (Wednesday) while victim was cut from vehicle

North Kent fire crews were called to deal with a three-vehicle traffic accident near the entrance of the Dartford Tunnel.

The incident happened at about 4.45pm yesterday (Wednesday) and involved firefighters using hydraulic cutting gear to remove the roof of one the vehicles to release a casualty, who was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The accident delayed traffic heading into Essex for a large part of Wednesday evening.
