Toilet attendent needed

PUBLISHED: 13:21 13 August 2010

A CAMPAIGN to keep a full-time attendant working at park toilet facilities has been launched.

Woodlands Park on Wrotham Road received new toilet facilities at the start of the summer and is employing a park attendant to ensure they are open for families during the school holidays. However Gravesham borough representatives for the ward, Mick Wenban and Tony Pritchard, are keen to ensure the facilities can be used throughout the year. In the past there have been issues with the toilet facilities due to the actions of a few disruptive oiks,” said Mr Wenban, adding the new installations seem to have remained free of vandalism and misuse.

Following this success the councillors plan to lobby the council for funds to employ the attendant full time.Toilets are an amenity that people expect,” added Mr Wenban.
