Engineering works overran. All hell broke loose

TRAINS across Kent and south London are still disrupted this afternoon as a result of overrunning engineering works at London Bridge.

The work has combined with unrelated signalling problems to create havoc across the network, with journeys which should take minutes taking several hours this morning.

Cancelled trains include the 15.51 from Tunbridge Wells to London Cannon Street, the 16.08 from Hayes to London Charing Cross, the 16.08 from Barnehurst to Cannon Street, the 16.17 from Cannon Street to Cannon Street, the 16.27 from Cannon Street to Dartford, the 16.54 from Cannon Street to Dartford, the 17.02 from Cannon Street to Hastings, the 17.47 from Blackfriars to Ashford International and the 21.32 from Ashford International to London Victoria.

A further 22 trains have been disrupted - meaning they are calling at fewer stations, calling at extra stations, terminating early, starting from a different station, delayed or have had carriages removed.

Travellers who have been delayed by more than 30 minutes can claim compensation at

Southeastern says it is “really sorry” for the disruption.
