The Chelmsford father died in June

The family of a biker who was killed near the Dartford Crossing in June have paid tribute.

Matt Pilgrim from Chelmsford was killed after a crash on the A282 involving his bike, a lorry and a van on June 15.

The 31-year-old’s family said: “Matt was not ‘beige’, he shared his light and laughter with everyone he met.

“He was a brilliant husband to Dimi, fantastic father to their children, a loving brother and amazing son. A great friend to so many.

“No matter how far apart from all the Pilgrims, Beevers, PGL family, friends and extended family you will be forever and always in our hearts.

“Matt Pilgrim is now flying high with the superheroes.”
