The incident happened on Friday

The family of a teenage girl are in mourning after she was struck by a train last week.

Georgia Walsh, from Swanley, died at Dunton Green station shortly after 8pm on Friday, March 17.

The 16-year-old’s mother, Jenny Connell, has led tributes to her eldest daughter.

She said: “Georgia was incredibly talented, very artistic and dedicated.

“She was so funny, very quick witted and incredibly brave and we are enormously proud of her, Georgia is loved dearly.

“Our thoughts go out to the driver of the train.

“Georgia wouldn’t have taken this decision lightly and we hope with support, the driver will come to terms with what has happened and find peace.”

Three days after her death, more than £3,600 has been raised online to cover the cost of the young girl’s funeral.
