Stone Parish Council has been shortlisted for an award for its digital communication skills.

Social media skills have helped a village council in Dartford borough onto the shortlist for an award.

Stone Parish Council is one of three finalists in the digital communications category of the National Association of Local Councils’ Star Councils awards, which celebrate the achievements of parish and town councils.

The council has been using social media since 2009, runs four websites, and is fond of infographics.

The winner will be announced on Tuesday, October 27 at a ceremony in Birmingham.
