Two teenagers from Gravesend have been arrested after reports of vehicle crime in Greenhithe.

Officers from Dartford and Gravesham were patrolling around the town after reports of people trying to open car doors in the area.

While patrolling in the early hours of Tuesday morning, police discovered a sports bag with car equipment and a number of bank cards which officers believe were stolen inside.

A search of the area began for any suspects, and two arrests were made.

A 14-year-old boy and 18-year-old man, both from Gravesend were arrested on suspicion of theft and tampering with a vehicle.

The younger of the two was also arreseted on suspicion of going equipped for theft.

Both of the suspects were released pending further enquiries.
