Police have made two arrests after a cash box was stolen from Asda supermarket in Thames Way, Gravesend, last Tuesday (6).

Security guards had arrived at the store to fill the ATM machine when a car parked up just outside the store and two men wearing balaclavas got out and attacked the security guard, before taking the cash box and driving off.

The vehicle was later found at Kendal Gardens and the cash box was discovered in Swanley.

The security guard suffered a bruised wrist as a result of the assault.

A 24-year-old man from Bexleyheath and a 22-year-old man from Erith have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and bailed until December 17.
