Two men to appear in court in connection with Northfleet leisure centre fire

Two men have been summonsed to appear in court in connection with a fire at a leisure centre.

The men, who are both 34 and from Bexleyheath, were each charged with six offences, five of which relate to criminal damage, with one relating to arson.

All the charges relate to Cygnet Leisure Centre in Old Perry Street, Northfleet.

Officers were called at 12.29am on Friday, March 10 2017 to reports of a fire at the leisure centre.

The other offences relate to five incidents at the leisure centre between March 1 and July 28 2017, where windows were reported to have been broken.

The men have been summonsed to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, February 13.
