Dawn raids were execuited in Essex leading to the arrests
Police investigating a fatal shooting 16 years ago have charged four men.
Leonard Naylor, 46 was shot a number of times on the driveway of his home in Bracondale Avenue, Istead Rise in April 2001.
Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate officers have continued to review the case.
Warrants were executed across Essex in the early hours of Wednesday morning, leading to the arrests.
The following four men have now all been charged with conspiracy to murder: Robert Blackwell, 51, of Atlas Road in Plaistow, London; Kane Ward, 52, of Boyd Close in Upminster, Essex; David Carvel, 51, of Plains Farm Close in Colchester, Essex; And Terence Barry, 43, of no fixed address.
Blackwell appeared before Medway magistrates yesterday (March 8) and was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on April 5.
The other three men are all due to appear before Medway magistrates today (March 9).
