The crash which left three lanes shut at Pepper Hill has now cleared

Lanes which were closed following a serious smash on the A2 near Gravesend have now been reopened.

The crash, which involved three cars, left three lanes shut in the London bound carriageway at Pepper Hill. It has now been cleared, and the lanes reopened.

Emergency services have left the scene. It is reported that three people were injured in the smash. Highways officials have said that traffic has cleared, and the road has returned to normal for the time of day.
