UPDATE: M25 reopened after smash closed it

The M25 has now reopened to traffic after a serious smash involving two lorries and a car left it closed for most of the afternoon.

Police closed the clockwise carriageway at junction two near Dartford. Officers diverted traffic over the junction to rejoin the carriageway on the other side.

The air ambulance also attended the incident.

A police spokesperson said: “The ambulance service attended and three people have been taken to hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening at this stage.”
