Crews tackled the blaze on Sunday evening

Police are investigating a report that a derelict building was set alight on Sunday.

Firefighters tackled a blaze at the now-abandoned site of the Woodlands in Swanley

Crews were called to the site at around 4.10pm.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “We are investigating a report that a derelict building in Hilda May Avenue, Swanley, was set alight on Sunday afternoon.

“Officers have attended the scene and at present no arrests have been made.”

Crews used breathing apparatus and main jets to tackle the fire which was in the roof of the building.

Once the fire was out, crews checked for any further fire spread within the building off Hilda May Avenue.
