UPDATE: Two arrested after Gravesend stabbing

Two teenagers have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Gravesend town centre this morning.

The 18-year-olds are being questioned by detectives on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Police closed part of Windmill Street, near the Gravesham Civic Centre, after a man was stabbed in the shoulder at around 11.45am.

A Kent Police spokesman said: “We were called at 11.45am to reports of a possible assault in Windmill Street, Gravesend.

“Officers attended and spoke to a man who had a suspected stab wound to his shoulder.”

His injuries have been described as non life-threatening and he remains in a stable condition.

An investigation is ongoing.
