More than 50 suspected migrants have been discovered in the back of two different lorries this week.

Earlier today, Kent Police discovered 26 migrants in the back of the lorry near Canterbury.

Following the discovery, one woman had to be taken to a local hospital.

A spokesperson from Kent Police said: “We were called at 11.25am to reports of migrants in the back of a lorry in Coldharbour Lane, Canterbury.

“Officers and Secamb attended and approximately 26 migrants have been located. They will be handed over to Home Office Immigration Enforcement to be processed.

“One woman has been taken to a local hospital for treatment.

On Monday, 26 people were passed into the care of the Home Office Immigration Enforcement, after police discovered a lorry full of people in Dartford.

The discovery was made in Bridge Close at around 9.30am.

There were five children and 21 adults found inside the lorry.
