The collision took place on Sunday, September 3

A pedestrian was rushed to hospital on Sunday after he was hit by a van in Stone, near Dartford.

Officers closed London Road for three and a half hours after a white Citroen Relay hit the 31-year-old just after 8.35pm, between the junctions of Brent Way and Mile Stone Road.

Paramedics rushed the pedestrian to King’s College Hospital in London, after he suffered a serious head injury in the collision.

The road remained closed until midnight as police investigated the scene.

Officers are now keen for any witnesses to come forward.

They would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen the van or the pedestrian prior to the crash.
