A FRUIT and vegetable stall has moved out of a shopping centre after the lease on its site came to an end.

The stall, run by John Armstrong, has occupied a site in St George's Shopping Centre, Gravesend, for the last three years.

Last week, he moved to a new rented location in Stone Street, Gravesend.

Mr Armstrong, 59, of Istead Rise, has worked as a fruit and vegetable seller for 30 years.

He said: "Our lease was ended in the St George's Centre with very little warning, and after supporting the centre for the last three years we have moved to this new spot in Stone Street.

"With us moving out, I think the centre has lost one of its main draws.

"But we have still kept our customers, and we look forward to continue serving them here.
