The jury for a Gravesend man accused of beating a man to death is due to deliver its verdict today.

Eddie Ives, 29, of no fixed abode, is charged with manslaughter at Maidstone Crown Court which has been downgraded from murder.

He is accused of killing Ben Mahoney in the House on the Hill in East Hill on April 12 this year following an altercation.

Ives denies the charge at the week-long trial.
