Police are appealing for witnesses

Police are investigating an alleged robbery in Northfleet last week.

On Sunday, a man, thought to be between 40 and 45 years old, reportedly watched his victim withdraw money from a cash machine along the High Street.

Walking toward Gravesend, the victim was then struck on the back of the head, before the man allegedly grabbed the victim’s bag, running away down a nearby footpath between Hive Lane and Factory Road.

Cash, a bank card, a passport and mobile phone were all reported stolen.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened between 3.50pm and 4pm.

The suspect is described as white, 5ft 9ins with a large build, blue eyes and short hair.
