A talented horse rider from Cobham Hall School achieved an impressive double win in two championships.

Year 8 student Emily Nicol represented the school in the Kent County Schools show jumping championships and the Kent County Schools dressage championships.

Emily rode her horse Meg in the show jumping competition and her other horse Lander in the dressage championships.

Emily said: “The nerves did start to kick in when walking the show jumping course on the day of the competition. There were some parts of the show jumping course that I wasn’t sure about. But I decided to trust in my horse, and go for it. So, we did!

“I was thrilled, both of my horses had performed the best they could have, and all the hard work paid off. My family and I are now off to the championships in October to compete both of my horses, which I don’t think any of us had expected!”
