Two hundred Dartford school pupils will be taking to the stage along with some of the UK’s most talented young singers when the Voice in a Million Choir performs at The Orchard on Monday (19).

Originally founded in 2009, the choir hopes to raise awareness of the need for loving families for children in the care system and it has since grown to more than 26,000 members from schools and groups across the UK.

They are returning to Dartford to perform ‘The Orphan’s Christmas Wish’, with local schools including Horton Kirby C of E Primary School, Darenth Community Primary School and Parkwood Hall School.

Creative director Jo Garofalo said: “Last year’s Orphan’s Christmas Wish production at the Orchard attracted a standing ovation from a packed audience. We are delighted to be returning to The Orchard. It is the perfect opportunity to raise awareness of adoption and fostering on a regional level.”
