Routine maintenance has caused the closures

Motorists using the Dartford Crossing and QEII Bridge are being warned of disruption throughout next week.

From Monday to Thursday the west tunnel will be closed from 9pm to 5.30am.

On Friday night the east tunnel will be closed and a signed diversion will be in place for oversized vehicles.

Then on Saturday night motorists will be forced to use one lane over the QEII Bridge as both tunnels will be shut.

Between 10pm and 6am, lanes two and three will be shut for safety, as lane one remains open for southbound traffic heading into Kent and lane four is opened for Essex-bound traffic

The east tunnel will reopen for Sunday night, while the west side will remain closed.

Elsewhere the northbound entry slip at junction 1a, Swanscombe, will be closed between 9pm and 5.30am from Monday for four nights.

On Saturday the road will be closed from 9pm to 6am, with a signed diversion in place back to junction 1b.
