Kent Police officers are on scene

Motorists are being advised to avoid a busy Dartford road due to damage caused by Storm Doris this afternoon (Thursday).

A roof has collapsed, causing damage to the carriageway between Anchor Boulevard and Galleon Boulevard.

Kent Police and KCC Highways are in attendance while the damage is cleared up.

Until then, Crossways Boulevard remains closed to motorists in both directions.

KCC Highways are advising motorists to use an alternative route until the road reopens.

Storm Doris has already caused disruption today, with the QEII Bridge closed at the Dartford Crossing and disruption on Southeastern services.
