Normal service expected tomorrow

Southern Water contractors have been working on behalf of Gravesham Borough Council to improve the water pressure to the mobile home park at Southfield Shaw, Harvel Road, Meopham, Gravesend.

The works have progressed but are proving more difficult to complete than was initially thought, due to sourcing the correct pipe fittings.

This has left the site without a water supply overnight.

Council staff will be attending the site during the early evening to distribute bottled water supplies for drinking. A local farmer from Clements Reach Farm, has agreed to supply a water bowser for residents to use for washing and toilet purposes. It is expected that the mains supply will be restored on October 17.
