GRAVESEND Reporter staff are moving office to bring your number one newspaper to the heart of the town centre.
After more than six years based in Milton Road, Gravesend, editorial and advertising staff are moving to Unit 4, The Courtyard, 7A Manor Road, Gravesend, DA12 1AA.
The new office is just a three minute walk from the former office and will be open from Monday.
Having served the community for over 150 years, the Gravesend Reporter is one of the oldest newspapers in the country.
The prestigious title was first produced at nearby Harmer Street where the paper was printed below the main offices.
As part of the Kentish Times Newspaper Group, owned by Archant, the weekly newspaper offers a great deal for 40p and is cheaper than any paid-for rival.
With a vibrant community and a high population of ethnic minorities Gravesend enables reporters' to tap in to a variety of local and national issues. Kentish Times series Group Editor, Melody Foreman, said: "The Gravesend Reporter has been well-established for more than 150 years and continues to lead the way with news, views, sport and entertainment coverage in and around the borough.
"By keeping a sense of identity as north Kent faces radical challenges and changes with redevelopment and the Thames Gateway the Reporter offers its readers a real community voice. The Reporter has a town centre office ideally suited for readers to call in and speak directly with a journalist for stories and pictures as they happen in town."
Popular columnists, showbiz exclusives, competitions, entertainments section, readers' letters and a comprehensive sport section, homes and motors, and classified advertisements offer a huge variety of choice.
The telephone number 01474 320753 and fax number 01474 320316 will remain the same.
