Wintry showers are being predicted this week

It may not be shorts-weather just yet as weather forecasters claim a blast of Arctic air is heading toward the UK.

Temperatures are set to drop so that many could be waking up to frost as we head into May.

Snow has been predicted for parts of Scotland and northern England, particularly on higher ground.

In Kent, the Met Office is suggesting there may be some wintry showers in parts of the county.

Temperatures are not expected to rise above 10 degrees.
