The money was granted through a National Lottery award and will go toward building an outdoor gym on Gamecock Meadow, London Road.

The “adiZone” gym will be a multi-sports zone in the shape of the London 2012 logo. It is free to use and open all day every day.

West Kingsdown parish council will also be purchasing portable lighting for evening use. More than 85 community sports projects in the South East will benefit from a £4.7m legacy windfall from the Olympic legacy fund.
