Woman attacked by carjackers in Gravesend

A woman was attacked by two men who got into her car just as she tried to drive off.

The Post Office worker had walked to her parked car, just around the corner from her work in The Parade, Gravesend, when a man got in the passenger side holding what was reported as a knife while another man climbed in the back.

She struggled with them but they ran off with her bag, leaving her with minor cuts to her hand.

Officers were called to Hillside Avenue at just after 5.40pm on October 22.

Police have made three arrests following the robbery.

A 14-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man, both from Gravesend, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and bailed until December 10.

A 19-year-old woman, also from Gravesend, has been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and bailed until December 10.

Police are still looking to speak with a man described as black, in his 20s, with short black hair and who was wearing a blue hooded anorak.
