Wrotham Road Primary School has been awarded first place in this year’s Gravesham in Bloom Scarecrow Competition.

The scarecrows were all based on the theme ‘Queen and Commonwealth’ and will take pride of place in Community Square for the Queen’s 90th Street Party on Friday, June 10, before moving to the town centre as part of a Gravesham in Bloom entry.

Second prize was won by St John’s Primary, while last year’s winners, Gravesham Arts, took third place.

Judging took place on Wednesday (May 25) in Community Square by Deputy Mayor Harold Craske and Deputy Mayoress Veronica Craske.
