Youths held after arson

POLICE arrested two teenagers and took them into custody after a suspicious blaze left two garages and two cars badly damaged.

The two boys, aged 16 and 17, were picked-up shortly after the incident at Knights Croft, New Ash Green, at around 2am on Thursday.

Firefighters were at the scene for two hours and Kent Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.

Members of the Swanley neighbourhood policing team patrol the area on a regular basis and were in the area later that day.

There will also be an opportunity to speak to officers at a police engagement meeting on May 5, 11am - noon, at the New Ash Green Co-op.
